I am a portrait photographer in central Pennsylvania and have always considered photography a passion. I find joy while capturing the world around me in creative ways. People have often commented that I should open my own studio, but it wasn’t until the birth of my daughter that I started concentrating on portraiture, which quickly turned into much more than a hobby.
My background in journalism as a newspaper designer has given me a natural appreciation for layout, composition and spatial relationships, which all come into play when I pick up a camera. Photography has also offered a blanace to my life I never thought possible. In the news room, I often deal with people’s tragedy, and my work ends up in recycle bins day after day. As a photographer, I’m taking part in people’s celebrations and joys, and their photos are an addition to their home that will last for generations.
Perhaps most of all, I feel priviledged to be invited to be a part of my client’s special occasions. I strive to capture moments they’ll remember and cherish for a lifetime.
This blog showcases some of my recent work, updates current and prospective clients about studio details, specials or changes to policies, and shares any relevant news.
